Blue Beam Steel Works was founded in 1996 by structural engineers who believed that precision-grade steel supply and rigorous documentation should be the standard — not the exception. Nearly three decades later, that belief drives everything we do.
OUR STORY
Blue Beam Steel Works was established in Vancouver, BC in 1996 by a team of structural engineers and steel industry veterans who saw a gap in the market: construction firms needed a supplier who understood the engineering side of steel procurement — not just the commodity side.
In our early years we focused exclusively on the Canadian market, building a reputation for technical accuracy, reliable mill certification, and on-time delivery. By 2001 we had completed our first international export, and by 2006 we had established supply relationships across Asia Pacific.
Today we operate from our Vancouver headquarters with a team of 140 professionals spanning procurement, trade compliance, logistics, and technical sales. We supply structural steel to landmark projects on every inhabited continent — from cable-stayed bridges in Southeast Asia to petrochemical facilities in the Arabian Gulf.
Our edge has never been price alone. It is the combination of technical depth, documentation rigour, and a logistics network built over 28 years of international trade.
